Dialog for Botpress

We are happy to release botpress-dialog a module for Botpress, an open-source project for developers to create, manage and extend bots.

At Dialog, we think developer happiness is pretty darn important. From the beginning, we set out to build clear, effective and clean APIs. We’ve found the same level of execution behind Botpress and are happy to contribute to their growing ecosystem.

You should try to build a simple bot with Botpress, it’s deceptively simple. We’ve created an example Facebook Messenger bot to get you started.

Starting from scratch, simply clone the example, install the dependencies, and start the server.

git clone https://github.com/dialoganalytics/botpress-example.git
cd botpress-example
npm install
npm start

Head over to localhost:3000 and click on the Dialog module in the sidebar. Set the configuration with your Dialog API token which is available in your personal account, and a bot ID.

botpress-dialog module configuration

Then configure the botpress-messenger module to connect your bot with Facebook Messenger.

If you already have a Botpress project, then simply install botpress-dialog.

botpress install dialog

After configuring the module, all the bot’s conversations will be tracked by Dialog and you’ll be able to visualize the data in your bot’s dashboard.

If you don’t already have a Dialog account, create one right now.

Announcing the Dialog + Smooch integration

If you are not a developer but you want to leverage Dialog's insights, your life just got easier. We're excited to announce our integration with Smooch, which brings the power of conversational analytics to Smooch applications.
